We were fortunate once again to be invited to spend a week with Jamie's parents at Wapato Point on Lake Chelan. On our way to Chelan we went on a brief hike up Red Top Mountain off of Blewett Pass. Unfortunately the fire lookout on the top was closed and the views were obscured by clouds.
The clouds didn't go away at Chelan where we experienced a rare cool and wet summer week on the lake. We were still able to do all of the usual activities such as wine tasting, walking along the point, going to the Manson farmer's market and shopping in downtown Chelan.
The girls got in lots of swimming including private swim lessons and visit to Slidewaters water park. We also got to go canoing as family on the lake and make smores from the new Wapato Point fire pit. Despite the cool weather it still was a great trip.
