For our second family hike of the summer we went to Wallace Falls off of Highway 2 near Gold Bar. It's a popular trail so we started early to ensure we could find a parking spot near the trailhead. The trail mostly follows Wallace River while moderately climbing through a forest. There is a lower, middle and upper waterfall to see while on the trail. The family did mostly well on 6 mile hike, but there was some light grumbling about the 1300' of elevation gain. Lily, who is not quite a fan of the outdoors, did very well on the hike. We had a hard time keeping up with her on the way down as she rushed to get back to the car. Overall it was good, but crowded hike.
