Iron Creek Camping

For our only camping trip of the year we returned to Iron Creek campground northeast of Mount St. Helens. It's a decent campground set within an old growth forest and a short walk from the Cispus River. We spent most our time relaxing at the camp site either reading, playing games or sitting by the fire. On the second day I rode my bike up to Windy Ridge. It was only 26 miles, but the 4100' of gain made for a good workout. While there I met up with the family and enjoyed the views of Mount St. Helens and Spirit Lake. On our last day we hiked the short trail that loops around the campground.
