Another year and another four days of game-packed fun at PAX. Kyle joined us for all four days, along with Eric for one day. As usual, there were plenty of activities to see and do. In fact, this year seemed particularly busy, as we had nearly no downtime.
I was excited to try out the new demo for the upcoming Resident Evil: Requiem game. Lily and Vivian were particularly interested in the new indie games. They really liked the Seattle Indies Expo, which isn't even part of PAX. Lily has an interest in creating their own game and found a couple of the game development panels interesting.
We did all the other PAX standards, including tournaments (Sushi Go for Vivian and Tetris 99 for Lily), PC and VR freeplay, a Friday night concert with MC Frontalot and Bit Brigade, live D&D with Acquisitions Incorporated, and the Omegathon tournament.
Normally, the Omegathon features a competition with a random group of video and board games, but this time it was themed with Minecraft minigames. The Omegathon finale broke the theme with Mario Kart World as the end game. Vivian was excited to see ConcernedApe (who made her favorite game, Stardew Valley) play in a steel drum band before the finale.
