We attended the Seattle Pride Pride for our first time. It was great to see the large amount of enthusiasm and support for the LGBTQ+ community, especially during this time of intolerance from the current presidential administration. The parade lasted over three hours and was represented by many groups and supportive organizations. I was initially taken aback by some of the kink groups which can be considered as not family friendly, but I eventually realized pride is about the freedom of being yourself and to be loved and accepted. No group should be left out. I'm happy to be in a region that is inclusive to all. Unfortunately there is a lot of work to be done to get more of the country off the practice of intolerance and hate.
