With school finishing up in June, we didn't have much planned for the start of summer. By chance, I got an email from Seattle Indies, a gaming group I follow, mentioning that they would be at the Kent Nerd Party. I knew nothing about this event, but it looked like fun, so we ended up going to it.

It could best be described as a comic-con farmers market. A couple of the blocks were closed off and lined with vendors selling various geek-themed items. Some of the local businesses participated with various displays. Rachel was excited to attend, as school prevented her from attending ECCC and PAX. She even dressed up in her ewok cosplay, which was welcome at the event. We had a fun time at the party and hope to return.
