Scenic Beach Camping

We stayed at Scenic Beach campground off of Hood Canal for our only camping trip of the summer. We've been to this park multiple times due to the convenience of being close by and having well-maintained campsites. As a destination, it's not very interesting other than having a small rocky beach which disappears during high tide. What made this year's visit unique was having our cat Henry join us. Henry is a lovable but extremely unhealthy cat that requires medication twice a day to keep him out of the pet ER. We always have to book him at a pet hotel during any family trips. This time the hotel was booked, so he went camping with us. We brought an extra tent for him to stay in; Rachel happily volunteered to share the tent with him. We never took him out, other than for a visit to the beach. He didn't like the noise of the kids and boats and mostly stayed hidden in his cat carrier. Overall, Henry did well on the trip, but we'll avoid bringing him along on future trips as he prefers the indoors.
